Do you love children and have month to spare during summer 2019? Come and join us in Vinnitsa Ukraine for evangelistic children's and extreme camps and be part of igniting the flame for children's ministry in Ukraine.
After arriving in Ukraine you will have a day to meet the team and get an overview of what the camp program will look like. The next day you will be traveling to a village where the first camp will be. You will meet the local church's pastor/volunteers and spend 5 or 6 days with the children doing crafts, sports, sing songs, bible lessons, you might get a chance of sharing the Gospel through mime or skits. Each day you will also have team time, day feedback and planning for the next day. In between camps you will travel back to Vinnitsa for a day of rest, church service, regrouping and maybe meet other team members. During the month you will attend 4 camps. two extreme and two children's camps After camp time, there will be a day of debrief and feedback and a 'goodbye meal', before departing. There may be opportunities to visit a local church either while in the village or in Vinnitsa, so be prepared to take part in the services for instance share a testimony or sing a song.
Born again Christians with a heart for children, able to handle the stress that the language barrier brings with it, a team player with a servant heart. Any musical, sport or artistic talents that you can bring with you will be a great blessing to the team.
The days before and after the camp you will be housed in the Vinnitsa dorm - comfortable rooms. While in the village for camp you may be housed with local believers, in church halls, maybe sleeping on the floor.
All meals are included. Expect good home cooked Ukrainian food. Unfortunately, during these camps we are unable to cater for special diets.
Please arrive at the Havryshivka Vinnytsia International Airport (VIN). You will be met at the airport by a representative of OM Ukraine with an OM sign. The team will likewise make sure you get back to the airport in time for your departure flight.
Participants must be in good health. Travel on the Ukrainian roads can be hard on one's back and you might be walking a lot in the village to where the camp will be held each day.
People from the EU, Switzerland, USA, Canada and Japan do not need a visa for visiting Ukraine up to 90 days. For those needing a visa, it is important that you apply by April 1,2019 in order for us to be able to organize an invitation letter for you.
People from other nationalities have to apply for a visa. The visa must be obtained BEFORE leaving your home country. You will need a single entry (1 month) visa for Ukraine. Ask at the consulate in your home country what is needed to obtain the visa. If you need an invitation letter, we can get this to you but please allow 2 months for this to be obtained and sent to you. We need full passport info, home address, church and church address info to get the invitation letter for you.
You will then need to hand the invitation letter, the application and any other required documents to the consulate to receive the visa. Visa costs are not included in the campaign and must be paid separately.
Even though there will be someone to translate, do not expect a private translator for yourself and be prepared to find creative ways of communicating with the children.
